Good Holiday Weekend
Most business reported a fair weekend, as most were looking for the worst with 4 dollar or higher gas prices. So most were happy with the weekend and hope the weather gets warm so people can enjoy Northern Michigan. Most realize it will be a tough summer as Michigan is in a bad recession, with many out of work, and days wages just for gas if you have a job or many are leaving the state for work.
People did show up and had a nice weekend with fish biting in most of the lakes.
Now we have a cold front moving though with frost tonight, thanks god it happened on Tuesday instead of this weekend.
Most lakes are still very cold and fish are confused when to spawn so it might be a poor year for a good hatch of game fish and forage base.
