Lakes Need Time to Heal

image

We need cold weather to heal the lakes back up as most shore ice is bad and walking is the only way to fish. South of M-55 it goes downhill fast if the is any current in a lake like many in the Gladwin and Midland area. Lakes with no current have good ice but the shoreline is bad.

Houghton Lake, Lake City, Cadillac, Skegemog and Lake Margrethe have action but the shore ice is bad. Lymanville om Houghton Lake will let you walk out but no vehicles are allowed out as the pressure crack is bad
