Happy New Year

Happy New Year and lots of outdoor fun in 08. Reports are good with many reports of good walleye fishing this week. Houghton Lake and Lake Margrethe seem to be great with Long Lake by Traverse having a good bite off of Cresent Shores.

Conditions have changed! Fishermen are reporting 8 to 10 inches of ice and more. Gas augers are popping up all over our lakes. Snowmobiles and quads are free to roam, prudent or not. Snowmobilers love this weekendâ??s heavy snow. The trails are groomed and everyone is having fun.
 
 
Panfish are cooperating. Crappie, gills, sunfish, perch, but mostly crappies are being caught on both lakes. Most anglers are going home with a mixture. Dry baits - waxworms, spikes or mousees
